MobilTelesco is an open-access dataset capturing the beauty of the night sky using affordable smartphone setups. This project demonstrates how modern consumer devices, paired with basic stabilization and long-exposure apps, can democratize astronomical observation and fuel citizen-led research and machine learning innovations. Accepted at CAIP 2025 Conference, our work in “Benchmarking Deep Learning-Based Object Detection Models on Feature Deficient Astrophotography Imagery Dataset” [https://arxiv.org/abs/2508.06537] showcases the potential of this dataset.
